Lynne Daubaras
Practicing Under Lynne Daubaras Professional Corporation My practice involves all aspects of estates and family law. I started my career with a Bay Street firm nearly 20 years ago, and have many years of experience advising clients in both estates and family law issues. I act as a trusted advisor to many local families, and provide sound and compassionate guidance in estate planning, business succession planning, and estate administration. I apply my background in litigation to the resolution of estate-related and family law conflicts, using a client-centred, collaborative approach. The best way to live for today is to plan for tomorrow. I help my clients by providing creative and effective advice for planning ahead to preserve family relationships and reduce potential risks. I help guide executors in their estate administration duties, and advise attorneys for property and personal care. In addition, I provide advice to estate and trust beneficiaries with respect to their rights, with the aim of resolving conflicts without resorting to litigation. I also advice clients and assist them in preparing domestic agreements to prevent conflicts from arising out of relationships. However, should conflicts develop, I take a collaborative approach to helping clients resolve them. I practice “Collaborative Law”, which is an alternative dispute resolutions option for both family and estates disputes. This approach allows me to guide family law clients through separation and divorce and achieve resilient agreements, and work with estate litigation clients to achieve fair settlements, without going to court. When I’m not at the office, you can usually find me at a hockey rink, cheering on one of more my three sons (Go Rangers Go!). I also enjoy walking or jogging through Oakville’s trail system with my two crazy yellow Labs, cycling, reading, and spending time with family and friends. |
